Refund Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2025
At Bright Path, we are committed to delivering a professional, high-quality service experience. Our refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and clearly communicated before any engagement begins. Refund eligibility is determined based on the stage of service delivery at the time of cancellation request.
1. Consultancy Service Fees
Before application submission (0% completed): 100% refund of consultancy service fees, minus a non-refundable administration and document preparation fee of USD $150 (if documents have been prepared).
After application submission, before admission result: 50% refund of consultancy service fees. At this stage, significant work including university selection, document preparation, editing, and submission has been completed.
After admission letter is issued (any university): No refund of consultancy service fees. The service has been substantially delivered and the outcome achieved.
Visa refusal (genuine case, no misrepresentation): 30% refund of consultancy service fee, or credit toward future service re-application (100% value of the 30%).
2. Third-Party & University Fees
University application fees, tuition deposits, and tuition payments are paid directly to universities and are subject to each university's own refund policy. Bright Path will assist in facilitating refund requests but cannot guarantee university approvals.
Embassy visa fees, courier charges, document notarization, credential evaluation, and other third-party administrative fees are non-refundable once paid, regardless of outcome.
CSC / Scholarship nomination fees are non-refundable once nomination has been submitted to the relevant authority.
3. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be approved in cases of misrepresentation, falsified documents, failure to disclose material information, or provision of fraudulent academic or personal records.
No refund is available if a student voluntarily withdraws or defers after having accepted an issued admission letter.
No refund applies once the student has physically arrived in China and utilized Bright Path arrival / airport pickup services.
Services already rendered at each milestone (as per the payment process) are not refundable.
4. Refund Process & Timeline
All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to brightpathinternationaledu@gmail.com with complete details, supporting documentation, and the reason for the request.
Refund requests are formally reviewed by our operations and finance teams within 10 working days of submission.
Approved refunds are processed within 15 to 30 working days from approval date via the same original payment method (where technically possible) or via an approved alternate method.
Bank transfer charges, currency conversion fees, and intermediary bank charges are deducted from the refundable amount as applicable.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you believe a refund decision is incorrect, you may submit a written appeal with additional supporting information within 14 days of receiving the decision. The appeal is reviewed by senior management, whose decision is final. Where disputes cannot be resolved internally, both parties agree to resolve the matter through good-faith mediation before pursuing any formal legal remedy.

Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 1, 2025
The following Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Client", "Student", or "You") and Bright Path Education Consultancy ("Bright Path", "We", "Us", or "Our"). By engaging our services, submitting an inquiry form, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
1. Scope of Service
Bright Path provides international student admission consulting services focused on universities and educational institutions in the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to: university selection, application preparation and submission, scholarship application guidance, document certification and translation coordination, JW201/JW202 processing support, student visa guidance, pre-departure briefing, airport pickup coordination, and general on-arrival orientation support.
The specific services to be provided to each Client are confirmed in a written Service Summary / Engagement Letter provided before the first consultancy payment and are limited to those explicitly listed. Any additional services require a written addendum.
Bright Path is an independent consultancy and is not an agent, employee, or legal representative of any university. Final admission decisions are made exclusively by each university and relevant government authority.
2. Client Obligations & Responsibilities
You must provide complete, accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information and documentation at all times. Bright Path cannot be held responsible for any failure, delay, refusal, or adverse outcome resulting from incomplete, incorrect, misleading, falsified, or delayed information provided by you.
You are responsible for meeting university eligibility requirements, taking required standardised tests, and obtaining required documents (diplomas, transcripts, passports, language certificates, police clearances, medical examinations, etc.) in a timely manner.
You agree to promptly respond to Bright Path communications and provide requested information and documents within communicated deadlines. Delays in client response may result in missed deadlines for which Bright Path bears no responsibility.
You are responsible for ensuring you understand and comply with the terms, conditions, and rules of each university, scholarship program, and visa authority to which applications are submitted.
All payments must be made by the agreed due dates. Bright Path reserves the right to suspend work on your case if any invoice or required payment remains outstanding past its due date.
3. Service Delivery & Disclaimer of Outcomes
Bright Path will perform its services with reasonable skill, care, and professionalism consistent with prevailing industry standards for international education consulting.
Bright Path does not guarantee admission to any specific university, the award of any scholarship, the approval of any visa, or any specific outcome. All such decisions are made exclusively by third parties (universities, CSC, embassy/consular officials, government agencies) over whom Bright Path has no final control.
We provide honest, good-faith assessments of admission probability based on our experience and historical data. However, past admission patterns do not guarantee future results, and no representation of guaranteed success should be inferred from any such assessment.
Bright Path is not liable for any losses, inconvenience, or damages caused by university policy changes, closure of intake quotas, changes in scholarship regulations, visa policy changes, pandemic-related restrictions, natural disasters, acts of war, or other force majeure events outside our reasonable control.
Information regarding universities, programs, tuition fees, and scholarships is provided in good faith based on the latest available information. Universities may change program details, fees, intakes, or requirements at any time without prior notice, and Bright Path cannot accept liability for such changes.
4. Payment Terms
All fees are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified in writing. Local currency equivalents may be accepted at the prevailing exchange rate as communicated by Bright Path's finance team at time of payment.
A detailed itemised fee schedule, payment milestones, and due dates are provided in your written Service Summary / Engagement Letter prior to contract formalisation.
Payments are considered received only after the funds have cleared into the designated Bright Path account and any applicable deductions (intermediary bank charges, conversion losses, etc.) have been settled.
University tuition, application fees, and any third-party charges are paid separately and are subject to the terms of the receiving institution.
Late or partial payments may result in suspension of work, missed application deadlines, or cancellation of the service engagement at Bright Path's reasonable discretion.
5. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
All documents, templates, guides, methodologies, software, website content, marketing material, and service processes created by Bright Path remain the exclusive intellectual property of Bright Path and may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Both parties agree to keep confidential all proprietary and non-public information disclosed during the course of the engagement, except information already lawfully in the public domain or required to be disclosed by law.
Students grant Bright Path permission to use anonymised statistical outcome data, redacted documents, and general case information for internal training, quality assurance, and aggregated marketing purposes, unless explicitly opted out in writing.
6. Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bright Path's total aggregate liability under or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the total amount of consultancy service fees actually paid by the Client to Bright Path for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.
Bright Path is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages including but not limited to lost tuition opportunity, lost scholarship, lost wages, loss of future earnings, emotional distress, travel costs, or damages for inconvenience, however caused.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
7. Termination & Cancellation
Either party may terminate the service engagement by providing written notice to the other party. Refunds, if applicable, are processed in accordance with the Bright Path Refund Policy (section 01 above) based on the stage of work completed at the time of termination.
Bright Path may terminate the engagement with immediate effect and without liability for refund if the Client is discovered to have submitted falsified documentation, made material misrepresentations, engaged in fraudulent activity, repeatedly provided false information, or acted in a way that threatens Bright Path's professional reputation or relationships with partner institutions.
On termination, all rights and licenses granted under these Terms cease immediately, but accrued rights and obligations (including payment for work already performed) survive termination.
8. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the breach, termination, or validity thereof, shall first be settled amicably through good-faith negotiation between the parties within thirty (30) calendar days of written notice being provided.
If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the parties agree to submit the matter to non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed neutral third party before commencing any formal legal proceedings.
These Terms and the provision of Bright Path consultancy services are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
9. General Provisions
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision is limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
Waiver: Failure by Bright Path to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision or of any subsequent breach.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Bright Path's prior written consent. Bright Path may assign the engagement to an affiliated or successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or corporate restructuring.
Notices: Formal contractual notices are valid if delivered to the last known email address on file for each party and are deemed received 48 hours after sending.
Amendments: Bright Path may occasionally update these Terms to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. Updates take effect 30 days after being posted on this page. Continued use of services after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the written Service Summary / Engagement Letter, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bright Path and supersede all prior oral or written agreements, representations, or understandings relating to the same subject matter.
